Religious Opportunities

Westminster as a Christian school, seeks, in the words of our founding Chairman of the Board, Dr. Vernon Broyles, “To honor Jesus Christ.” Many opportunities are provided for all of our students to explore the deep and mysterious dimensions of faith and spirituality, no matter their faith tradition.

We believe the spirit of Christ would encourage such exploration and growth. Inside and outside the classroom, we seek to discern the deepest meaning of the love of Christ, and to extend that love and relationship to each person in the school community and beyond.

We expect each student to engage the written witness of the Judeo-Christian heritage, and to fathom the deepest meaning of the message as a way of relating to others, to God, and to the formation of our life in community.

The Christian fellowship groups are myriad, and all students are welcome to explore the rich, multiple dimensions of the Christian perspective. There are, as well,  fellowship groups supporting students of other faiths. Within this context of school life, it is our hope that each student will come to a profound respect for God’s creation, for their fellow human beings, and for the opportunities to make a positive and hopeful difference in a broken world.
