After-School Programs

After–School Activities
Westminster offers several after-school opportunities for elementary students. Band, Chorus, Orchestra and Intramurals instruction is covered by tuition. Students rent or purchase their instruments for Band and Orchestra. The After School Kids! program (ASK! ) is fee-based.
Band, Chorus, Orchestra and Intramurals are automatically cancelled if the activity falls on the day before a school holiday.
ASK!
ASK! (After School Kids!) is an after-school program available to all elementary students. The cost varies depending upon the number of days attended. For information and to register, visit the ASK! web site, or contact Ms. Amy Rouse, ASK! Director, at 404-609-6387.
ASK! Pick–Up: If you are picking up a student in ASK! prior to the 3:15 carpool, we request that you do not come into the ASK! Clubhouse between 3:00 and 3:15. This is a transition time for us, and this will make our program less hectic for our staff and your children.

Elementary Intramurals
Third, fourth, and fifth graders are eligible for elementary intramurals.
This program, which is optional for third through fifth grade boys and girls, meets once a week after school. Students enjoy activities that parallel units in physical education class and cooperative fun-filled activities led by Westminster teachers. The wide range of activities encourages participation at all skill levels.
There are three sessions of Intramurals between September and April with an Open Intramurals session during the month of December. Intramurals are from 3:15 to 4:00 p.m. in the Large Field House. Students may sign up for Intramurals by coming to opening day of the session. P.E. uniforms are required for Intramurals.
Please call Mr. Brent McGuire at 404-367-5098 or Mr. Andy Dunn at 404-367-5089 with any questions regarding Intramurals.
Please note: It is important that children participating in after-school activities be picked up promptly at the dismissal time of their activity; teachers leading after-school activities often have other responsibilities or appointments immediately following the activity. If a child has not been picked up by ten minutes past the activity dismissal time, he/she will be taken to the ASK! office in the Annex to wait to be picked up. The ASK! staff will provide supervision. After a five-minute grace period, a fee of $1.00 per minute per carpool will be charged. Drivers will need to park their car and go into the Annex to get their child/carpool. The ASK! staff will have a form for you to sign which will include the number of minutes late. The charges will be billed to the carpool driver's account through the business office. Please inform any substitute carpool drivers of these procedures.
