Overview

Looking in the mirror, a second grader concentrates on the subtle delineations of shape, color, and texture of her face—and then tries to capture that uniqueness with paint on paper.

Bow poised in anticipation of the first note, a sophomore cellist waits for the violinists in his chamber quartet to begin Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik.

These are but two of the many artistic moments that take place daily at Westminster.  For all students, art will be an experience that helps them develop a deeper awareness of themselves and the world around them.  The visual arts and the performing arts help sharpen their perception and provide them with the craftsmanship for expressing the vision that lies within us all.   For students whose muse is more insistent, the Westminster arts program can also provide a full range of experiences and instruction that perhaps can even launch a career as a musician, actor, or artist.  Given the talent and enthusiasm of the student body as a whole, even those who prefer viewing to producing can get in on the act. Just try to get a ticket at the last minute to the high school musical.
