Students Qualify for International Thespian Festival
Five Upper School students qualified for the International Thespian Festival following their performances at the Georgia Thespian Conference over the weekend.
Forty-eight students attended the conference in Columbus, where they competed in technical and acting events, auditioned for scholarships, met college representatives, and participated in workshops.
Several Westminster students received "superior" scores for their individual event competition pieces, which qualifies them to advance to the International Thespian Festival in Lincoln, Nebraska this summer. Those students are:
- Anna Harrison '17 and Josh van der Eerden '17 performed a scene from Reasons to be Pretty by Neil LaBute
- Courtney Frank '18 and Hannah Vanderver '17 performed a scene from Pizza Man by Darlene Craviotto
- Katherine Taylor '18 presented "I'll Be Here" from Ordinary Days by Adam Gwon
