The Atlanta Business Chronicle has named Michael Hertz '01 and Fred Castellucci '03 to its annual "40 Under 40" list.
Every year, the publication honors 40 local leaders under the age of 40 who have made significant career achievements and have demonstrated social responsibility within the community. A panel of distinguished alumni from prior "40 Under 40" classes select the next group of rising stars, choosing those who have scaled the ranks to make their mark in their industries and lead their communities.
Michael is the executive vice president United Distributors Inc., the largest beverage alcohol wholesaler in Georgia and Alabama. Fred is the president and CEO of the Castellucci Hospitality Group, a family of restaurants that includes Cooks & Soldiers and The Iberian Pig, among others.
Other 2018 honorees include executives from Piedmont Healthcare, WellStar Health System, Lyft, King & Spalding, The Weather Channel, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, and The Home Depot, as well as administrators from Emory University and Morehouse School of Medicine. The list also includes Mahnaz Charania, director of Westminster's Glenn Institute.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle's "40 Under 40" award winners will be celebrated during an event at the Fox Theatre in November.
