The Breithaupt Athletic Hall of Fame inducted its newest members during Homecoming Weekend 2022. These individuals exemplify outstanding character, commitment, and achievement in their respective varsity sport(s). 

Pete Davenport, Basketball Coach

Pete Davenport was the epitome of the Teacher-Coach at Westminster throughout his 43 year career, instilling a love of basketball and knowledge of the game to hundreds of student-athletes. A mainstay within the Boys Basketball program he worked with 12 different Varsity Head Coaches during his tenure. During this time 11 of his teams won Middle School League Championships and 14 ended the season as Runner Ups. His teams had an astounding 35 winning seasons, earning Coach Davenport at least 365 career wins. For his contributions to the Westminster Community, Pete earned the 2009 Bob Ward Catbackers’ Award and the 2007 William A. Parker, Sr. Exceptional Service Award.

Julie Fowler '14, Tennis

Julie Fowler was a four-year letter winning tennis star who led the Wildcats to four consecutive GHSA State Championship appearances. She was Westminster’s first singles player from 2011-2014, and helped the Wildcats earn GHSA State Championships in 2013 and 2014 and runner up finishes in 2011 and 2012. Cumulatively, she had less than 10 losses throughout her four-year career. Julie was a team captain of the 2014 State Championship winning team and earned team most valuable player honors every year of her career.

Richmond Green '07, Swimming

Richmond Green was a standout swimmer for the Wildcats. He was a four-year letter winner who led the Swimming and Diving program to four consecutive GHSA State Championships from 2004 to 2007. During his career ,he earned a combined five individual and relay state championship titles. The freestyle specialist was a six-time National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association All American and a three-time USA Swimming Scholastic All- American. He is currently still in the Top Ten in the record books in four events (4th in 400 Free Relay, 6th in 200 Free, 7th in 100 Free, and 7th in 200 Free). As a senior, Richmond served as a team captain and earned Team MVP honors. He also was the recipient of the 2007 Outstanding Achievement in Athletics Award.

Stephen Morse '95, Football, Wrestling, Track and Field

Stephen Morse was a four-year letter winner in three varsity sports: Football, Wrestling and Track and Field. He was a dominant fullback and a key player in the resurgence of the football program in the mid 1990s. As a senior, Stephen earned the Charlie Brake Most Valuable Player Award, was named All-City and All-State, and was the Coaches’ Corner Offensive Player of the Year. On the wrestling mat, he helped the 1992 and 1995 teams win the GHSA State Championship. In 1995, he placed third in the state in the 275 pound classification. Additionally, he was the Region Champion in the shot put and placed fourth in the state at the GHSA State Championship Meet. A leader on and off the field, Stephen was a senior team captain for the Football and Wrestling programs.

Jessica Winton '99, Soccer

Jessica Winton was a four-year letter winning soccer player and one of Westminster’s and the state of Georgia’s most prolific scorers. She led the Wildcats to GHSA State Championships in 1996 and 1998; a runner-up finish in 1999; and a third-place finish in 1997. Jessica led the team in goals scored for four years, scoring 155 goals. Her career statistics are impressive, she scored in 75 of 78 career games; recorded 49 multiple goal games, including 32 hat tricks. Her efforts on the field were rewarded as she was named the 1998 and 1999 Georgia Gatorade Circle of Champion Player of the Year and in 1999 she was the Atlanta Journal- Constitution’s Player of the Year.
