John Overend '25 and Ravi Parikh '25 reached the Sweet Sixteen of the Second Year National Championships hosted by Woodward Academy. Ravi was also recognized as the fifth overall speaker at the tournament. 

Second-year students are defined as a debater in their second year of high school debate competition. Both John and Ravi are freshmen, but started debating at the high school level in eighth grade.
