Our community performance of Handel's Messiah is one of Westminster's most cherished traditions.
This year's performance will take place Friday, December 21 at 7:30 p.m. in McCain Chapel. Prior to the performance, there will be a reception with hot chocolate and cookies in the Carlyle Fraser Library in Pressly Hall.
We hope you will be part of it, either as an audience member or as part of the community chorale.
All alumni parents, faculty, and staff are invited to participate in the chorus—along with the current Upper School choral ensembles—of the Christmas portion of Handel's Messiah. Rehearsals for the choral portions are as follows:
- Monday, December 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Pressly Chorale Room
- Thursday, December 20 at 7:00 p.m. in McCain Chapel (Dress Rehearsal)
All choral musicians—faculty, staff, and alumni—are of course encouraged to attend any and all choral rehearsals, but we also look forward to singers joining us whenever they are able, which may mean for the first time at the performance on Friday, December 21. Please email Chris Walters, Upper School choral music director, with any questions.
