Sabrina Farley-Allen '23 is the first female student at Westminster to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.
An Eagle Scout is the highest achievement attainable in the Scouts BSA program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Requirements include earning at least 21 merit badges and the Eagle Scout must demonstrate Scout Spirit, an ideal attitude based upon the Scout Oath and Law, service, and leadership. This includes an extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages.
Sabrina's project benefitted Odyssey Atlanta students by constructing two Little Free Libraries and collecting more than 1,000 children's books to stock the libraries. The public book exchange boxes were donated to two Atlanta Public Schools—Deerwood Academy and Burgess Peterson Academy—that have a high concentration of students who participate in Odyssey.
Since the BSA's inception in 1911, only four percent of Scouts have earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
