Alan Marhic '26 will compete among the brightest students in the world after qualifying for two international academic competitions.
Alan qualified for both the International History Olympiad and International Geography Championship following his performance at the national competitions earlier this month.
Alan reached the semifinals of the national championship of the National History Bee, finishing in seventh place in his division. He also finished in 13th place in his division at the national championship of the International Geography Bee. Both placements earned him an invitation to the international championships.
The international history and geography competitions are scheduled to take place in Québec City, Canada in July and August of 2022.
In addition, Alan reached the finals of the 2021 U.S. History Bee National Championship, finishing in fifth place in his division.
