StudioW and WCAT Win Four National Student Production Awards

Congratulations to StudioW and WCAT on winning four National Student Production Award EMMYs for 2019-21, the most of any school in the country. 

The winners are: 

  • Best Fiction Long Form: Disowned - Andrew Stevens '20, Jonas Du '21, Patrick Nagy '22
  • Best Non-Fiction Long Form: A Divided City - Samantha Cohn '21, Jonas Du '21
  • Best Audio/Sound: Marked - A Short Film, Patrick Nagy '22
  • Best Director: Marked - A Short Film, Samantha Cohn '21 with Madeline Simpson '21

The teams also received three national nominations:

  • Best Live Sports: Westminster-Lovett Football: Battle of Buckhead, James Solomon '22, Turner Cravens '20, David Goetze '20
  • Best Commercial: Innovation at Westminster, Jonas Du '21
  • Best Director: Marked - a short film, Jonas Du '21

Nominees were selected from over 250 entries from across the country, in 25 programming and craft categories. The winners were announced during a live presentation on Tuesday, November 23.

Since 2014, WCAT has won 10 national and 15 regional Student Production Awards from NATAS.
