WCAT Students Win Award from Southeast EMMY Chapter

WCAT—the School's student-run webTV station—won an award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Science’s Southeast Chapter.

The NATAS Southeast Chapter awarded WCAT a High School Student Production Award for Live Sports Event. Collier Ballard '19, William Foshee '19, William Turton '19, and the WCAT crew were recognized for their coverage of the Georgia High School Association's Class AA football state championship game. The announcement was made at the Student Production Awards Ceremony, held on Saturday, June 10 at SCADShow in Atlanta. William Turton, Jack Hunter '20, and Turner Cravens '20 accepted the award on behalf of the entire WCAT team.

Since 2014, WCAT has won one national and nine regional Student Production Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Science, the organization that hosts the EMMY Awards.
