WCAT—the School's student-run webTV station—is the recipient of a national broadcasting award.
The station won the NFHS Network award for "Best Original Programming." The honor is given to the school that produced the best original programming based on content, features, audio quality, camera work, writing, editing, and other production elements. The NFHS Network has more than 1,500 member schools in 48 states.

In addition, WCAT has been nominated for two Student Production Awards by the Southeast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
WCAT students William Turton '19 and William Foshee '19 are nominated for Sports, and William Turton and Turner Cravens '20 are nominated in the Audio/Sound category.
The Student Production Awards encourage the pursuit of excellence in video production and focus public attention on outstanding achievements produced by high school and college students.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Saturday, June 9 at SCADShow in Atlanta.
