Our Christian Mission

Go and Do Likewise.

Westminster is a Christian school. We hold a deep commitment to our Christian mission, seeking to honor for each of our students the scriptural description of Jesus as “growing in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52). Westminster has long embraced its own distinctive identity as a Christian school. We are guided by Jesus’ teaching to love and serve and are inspired to reflect these values in our school community, programs, and priorities. These values also lead us to be open to all traditions and people.

As an inclusive Christian school, Westminster honors the substance and practice of other religions and seeks to support and encourage students of all faiths, beliefs, cultures, and backgrounds. We welcome and learn from community members of many different religious traditions. We believe that such inclusion and respect for the dignity of all people are at the heart of Christianity and are manifestations of a thriving and vibrant beloved community that produces lifelong learners who lead with compassion and integrity.

In their own words

Westminster presents us with a variety of worship, service, fellowship, and leadership opportunities that allow us to practice our faith every day, growing closer to God and one another. We worship together in services and at Friday Morning Fellowship, serve together in our annual class projects, grow together on retreats, and learn to lead together in weekly Bible Studies.
