Inspired to Learn

Dynamic, all-encompassing transformation is the hallmark of our Middle School. Here, we up the ante on both independence and support to preserve and mature our students’ innate desire to learn. Middle Schoolers have all kinds of opportunities to try out new activities and identities, explore new interests, build confidence, and develop leadership skills. Collaboration is built into the curriculum through expanded experiential learning, STEAM initiatives, and service learning. And small group advisories and weekly schoolwide gatherings help build a sense of belonging within a supportive community.

The Westminster Middle School community lies at the intersection where passion and joy meet. With both in mind, we design programming that challenges the mind and supports students as they are with the promise of who they will become.

Leading and Serving

Students work together toward common goals as members of the Middle School's 13 different leadership councils. Activities for these groups include planning community service events, mentoring younger students, planning Christian Emphasis week, and promoting awareness of environmental issues, among many others.

Taking the Field

Westminster offers 25 athletic teams for Middle School students. Our coaches at every level guide students to improve their physical skills—and, more importantly, the skills of teamwork, perseverance, and leadership.

The City as Our Classroom

The school year ends with MayATL, a time to explore new topics with Atlanta as the backdrop. Students leverage all our city has to offer in courses that stretch their imaginations and connect them to the community.
