Thompson Science & Technology Hall of Fame
The Thompson Science and Technology Hall of Fame was established by retired faculty and former Associate Director of College Counseling Nancy Beane, along with her husband John and their daughter Kathryn ’97, in honor of Nancy’s father, Mr. John Will Thompson, a career-long research chemist. The Thompson Science and Technology Hall of Fame recognizes Westminster alumni who have made significant contributions to a professional field related to the sciences, medicine, or engineering. The awards are on display in the Warren Lecture Room, Robinson Hall.
The criteria by which nominees will be considered for this recognition will be based on accomplishments acquired during his/her professional career. Qualified recipients will be individuals who have: Earned national and/or international recognition for his/her professional contribution to science, medicine, and/or engineering. Demonstrated values pertaining to the philosophy statement of The Westminster Schools, namely “…personal excellence, responsible citizenship,…and life-long learners caring for and serving the world…”
