A Note from the Class Reunion Committee
Dear Class of 1995,
Can you believe it’s been almost three decades since we donned our caps and gowns, eager to take on the world? As we gather to celebrate our 30th high school reunion, I recall a cinematic icon from our time: "Back to the Future," whose hero Marty McFly traveled back 30 years to his parents' high school prom.
It's astonishing to think that just as in 1985 when Marty McFly journeyed to 1955, we're now traveling back in time to our own high school days. While Marty had the help of a DeLorean and the genius of Doc Brown, we've navigated our way here through the incredible advances in technology and a bit of nostalgia.
In the 1990s, who could have imagined the leaps and bounds we'd make in just 30 years? In high school, I recall a couple of computers with modems and message boards in the computer lab, a few kids with beepers and several parents with car phones. We've seen the rise of the internet and the proliferation of smartphones. Yet I am still taken back to the 1990s when I see present day teenagers wearing Nirvana t-shirts and the Air Jordans that I always wanted.
Today we may not have the hoverboards or self-lacing Nikes that Back to the Future Part II promised, but we do have shared experiences and friendships that have stood the test of time. Let's take this opportunity to catch up, share our stories, and celebrate the remarkable journey we've all been on. Here's to the future, to the memories of the past, and to the bonds that have brought us all together once more.
With warm regards and fond memories,
Your Class of 1995 Reunion Committee
