Engaging with the world as learners to grow as global leaders

At Westminster, we encourage our students to embrace challenge and explore the unknown. Our curious students want to investigate the world, ask questions, and find answers. To help them along this journey, Westminster offers carefully designed international education programs. Westminster offers global learning on every continent except Antarctica. In a typical year, summer and winter opportunities are available, ranging in length from a week to an entire school year.

Travel experiences for Middle School and Upper School students include environmental education, language and culture exchanges, service, and a wide variety of interdisciplinary academic study. Students who participate in these programs become stronger leaders of conscience with larger hearts, sharper vision, and clearer voices to shape the world.

We were fortunate to host a student from Spain in February of our son’s seventh grade year, and then our son traveled and stayed with the student’s family that summer. It was great to share the experience as a family. Pablo, our exchange student, quickly became a part of our family… Our son’s experience in Spain was a wonderful experience for him. He increased his fluency in Spanish while experiencing the culture in a unique way as a part of a local family.
