MayATL
In May, all Middle School students take a mini-elective in the final days of school designed to engage their curiosity and interests beyond the standard curriculum. Leveraging the bounty of resources within the city of Atlanta, May ATL offers authentic learning experiences that transcend classroom walls and connect to the broader community. Students may learn to compose songs or build rockets, sample Atlanta’s culinary diversity or explore the city through photography. Topics are varied, but all electives emphasize learning through experience.
May ATL occurs in the spring following exams and runs for six days. The May ATL schedule affords time for field trips and extensive hands-on projects.
