shine beyond the classroom

Westminster students lead, learn, serve, and grow by participating in a vibrant roster of extracurricular activities. Students compete nationally in debate, robotics, athletics, and more; create films and broadcasts with StudioW and WCAT; and travel the world through study abroad. Every opportunity outside of the classroom adds to the extraordinary Westminster experience.

School Life Throughout the Year

Pigskin Picnic

The Pigskin Picnic is one of our favorite Wildcat traditions. This outdoor dinner and pep rally takes place before the first football game of every year and is a fantastic opportunity for students, parents, faculty, and alumni to spend time together and cheer for the Cats!

Halloween Parade

The historic quad is filled with fairies, firefighters, monsters are more each Halloween when pre-first through second grade students parade through in their costumes. Third through fifth graders, parents, Upper School students, and staff line the path to cheer on our youngest Wildcats as they show off their Halloween spirit.

More than 90 Clubs

Wildcats have countless opportunities to cultivate interests outside the classroom. Students can compete with one of the School’s award-winning academic teams, lead and serve in a number of ways, and explore interests ranging anywhere from writing and gardening to aviation and entrepreneurship and beyond.

Day of Service

Students volunteer across Atlanta with their family members during the annual Day of Service organized by The Glenn Institute and PAWS. This tradition deepens the connections students have made with local organizations, fosters long-term devotion to caring for others, and connects Wildcat families to each other and the community.

Middle School Bible Studies

Westminster Upper Schoolers lead optional Bible study lessons on Tuesday mornings for Middle School students. Many of the Upper School volunteers stay with the same Bible Study group throughout the group's entire three years in the Middle School, creating the opportunity for each student to grow in their faith and to develop abiding friendships.

100 Days to Become an Alum

Westminster celebrates the countdown to commencement with "100 Days to Become an Alum!" This initiative for seniors educates them about opportunities within the alumni network and introduces them to notable alumni. Our graduates remain a part of the School’s family for life. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.
